Kitchari is a healing food in Ayurvedic nutrition used to nourish when the body is weak or compromised. It is also used during cleanses as it is so easily digested.
All you need for a simple yet flavourful kitchari is in the pack. No need to guess or find a recipe.
It contains long grain Basmati rice and split mung dhal, with cooling spices. There is also a millet version.
Rinse thoroughly, add to a pot and top with water just above the surface of the grains. Bring to the boil. Can be cooked in an Instapot or pressure cooker too.
